Job summary

Textron Systems seeks a 2027 Intern in Pricing & Estimating for Hunt Valley, MD. You will support the proposal team with cost proposals, analyze estimates, input data into ProPricer, and write proposal narratives. This paid 10-week internship includes mentorship and hands-on work to build fundamentals in finance and accounting.

Gain exposure to cost analysis, reporting, and customer negotiations while learning compliant processes under FAR and company policies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills are a plus; ability to learn new software quickly.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels.
• Basic knowledge of General Accounting processes and rules.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal team members in the development of cost proposals.
• Participate in activities to ensure proposals are current, accurate, and compliant with FAR and company policies.
• Analyze labor hour estimates, material estimates, travel, and other estimates.
• Input data into ProPricer and generate reports.
• Write proposal narratives and assist in preparing management slides.
• Support customer fact-finding, negotiations and audits.
• Follow established procedures and work under general direction.
