Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician to service its latest fleet, focusing on Ford and GMC trucks. You will perform maintenance, part replacements, and inspections, with opportunities to grow through our Technician Training Program.

Employee development is supported by hands-on training, tool provisions, and a friendly, family-focused culture. A paid hands-on interview and a $100 hiring bonus are offered to new hires.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work in a team or individually.
• Basic computer skills and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Assist in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
