Job summary

U-Haul is seeking skilled preventive maintenance technicians to keep Ford and GMC trucks in top condition for customers. You will perform preventive maintenance on our latest fleet, with a paid hands-on interview and tools provided to complete your work.

Join a team with a family atmosphere, participate in the Technician Training Program from Ford, GMC and U-Haul, and grow through on-the-job training. A $100 Hiring Bonus is offered to new technicians.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred
• Driver's license required
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Basic computer skills and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts
• Perform tire and brake maintenance
• Occasionally road-test vehicles
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist
• Willingness to assist in additional areas as directed by supervisor
