Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to service Ford and GMC trucks and keep the fleet in peak condition. You will participate in a paid hands-on interview and may receive a $100 Hiring Bonus as part of the onboarding drive.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, tire and brake care, and routine inspections in a hands-on shop setting with opportunities to grow through the Technician Training Program.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license is required.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
