Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to maintain Ford and GMC trucks for a growing fleet. You’ll join a team known for its family atmosphere and long-tenured staff, with opportunities to grow through our Technician Training Program and access to tools provided by U-Haul.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, on-site work, and a paid hands-on interview with an immediate pay opportunity. A $100 hiring bonus is also offered.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary.
