Job summary

Phxpkg in Davenport, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain all production-related machinery and systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and coordinate with outside resources as needed.

The role requires reading diagrams and blueprints, operating forklifts and lift equipment, and complying with safety, GMP, and food safety policies on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Fork lift certification required.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance according to procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on molding/lining machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on molding/lining machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic issues on molding machines.
• Coordinate with outside resources for parts and support.
• Notify supervisor of part numbers for low inventory stock.
• Perform mold and lining tool changes as needed.
• Operate and adjust lining machine vision systems.
• Maintain documentation for PMs and safety checks.
• Follow all safety rules including lock out/tag out and arch flash.
• Welds and fabricates parts as needed.
• Assist engineering on projects and familiarization with equipment.
