Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in Ames, IA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment, including mold changes, to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and quality defects, update PM programs, stock spare parts, and train operators on basic machine care. This is a full-time role with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Experience with maintaining equipment and troubleshooting mechanical and quality defects.
Maintenance certifications, education and training are a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment.
Ensure safe, efficient operation of all production equipment.
Improve equipment reliability, utilities, and production efficiency.
Plan, repair, modify, install and adjust elements affecting productivity.
Analyze and resolve equipment issues and maintain cleanliness of equipment areas.
Maintain tools and assist in PM program updates and spare parts stock.
Assist contractors with repairs and train operators in PM and conversions.
