Job summary

Amcor is seeking a dependable Preventative Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position performs scheduled preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and minor repairs to keep extrusion and production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, enjoys troubleshooting, and works well with a production team. Expect to work overtime as needed and adhere to EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years in an industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance position preferred; or 2–4 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Willingness to complete job related safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on production lines and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, mechanical issues, and safety concerns.
• Complete maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain required maintenance records and files.
• Assist with general maintenance of the building and grounds.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support production goals.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and EHS requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions and stop work when necessary.
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work overtime or fluctuating schedules as needed.
