Job summary

The Difference Principle seeks a Program Director to lead the Pretrial Service Program in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The role manages day-to-day operations in Marquette, with limited travel to surrounding counties and oversees court and defendant services.

You will recruit, hire, train, and guide staff to meet performance outcomes, while collaborating with the administration team to solve emerging issues. This expanding role requires creativity and flexible problem solving.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s with managerial experience in criminal justice or human services.
• Certification as Pretrial Services Professional within one year of employment.
• Experience managing staff in pretrial, criminal justice, or human services programs.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing to meet contract obligations and supervise staff.
• Develop and update staff training policies and manuals.
• Ensure policies, reports, and QA standards are followed.
• Maintain forms and track case outcomes and services.
• Provide QA reviews of case management and court reports.
• Prepare and submit required reports to funding sources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
