Job summary

Sarasota County is seeking a Pretrial Services Supervision Unit Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Pretrial Services Program in Sarasota County. The role focuses on team leadership, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with court requirements and policies.

The ideal candidate will supervise staff, manage case management activities, and collaborate with court administration and justice partners to promote effective pretrial services and positive community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or job-related field and two (2) years of job-related experience.
• OR: Six (6) years of professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
• Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and evaluate Pretrial Services staff, supporting training, development, recruitment, and onboarding.
• Monitor case management activities through regular case audits, timely case reviews, and compliance with court requirements and policies.
• Oversee program performance by analyzing data, case outcomes, and compliance measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement program improvements, policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices that support public safety, court appearance, and equitable outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, court directives, and criminal justice information security requirements.
• Collaborate with Court Administration, the judiciary, justice partners, and community stakeholders to support program goals and effective pretrial services.
