Thurston County Pretrial Services in Olympia, WA, seeks a Pretrial Services Officer II to join the Pretrial Screening and Supervision Team. You will conduct screenings, assess risk, and supervise individuals on pretrial release to help ensure court appearances and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences, criminal justice, or public administration.
• Course work in substance use, mental health, and/or domestic violence studies.
• Five years of experience in criminal justice or social services, interviewing, counseling or supervising justice-involved individuals.
• Must pass background clearance for access to corrections facility.

Responsabilités

• Conduct screenings for individuals in criminal cases and complete pretrial risk assessments.
• Supervise clients on pretrial release based on risk classification system.
• Submit written reports to the Court and counsel.
• Make referrals to community service providers.
• Verify court orders and document compliance.
• Access criminal history databases.
• Maintain accurate files and timely court documentation.
• May assign cases to other Pretrial Services Officers.
