Job summary

Knife River Prestress is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support production quality and PCI compliance in our prestressed concrete facility. You will perform concrete testing, dimensional inspections, document results, and verify drawings, reinforcing steel, and lifting hardware against specifications.

The role requires 2+ years in precast/concrete QC and ability to read drawings. Candidates should be comfortable working with production teams, have basic Excel/Office proficiency, and be

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in precast/concrete QC.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Capable of lifting material samples up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Experience with concrete testing and PCI standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM testing daily to support concrete production.
• Inspect products against fabrication drawings during casting.
• Verify reinforcing steel, strand patterns, inserts and lifting hardware.
• Perform dimensional inspections and verify PCI tolerances.
• Document inspection data and report non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality concerns.
• Support plant safety and maintain a clean work area.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.
