Job summary

Knife River Prestress is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support production quality and PCI compliance at our prestressed concrete facility in Oregon. You will perform concrete testing, dimensional inspections, and maintain quality records with minimal supervision.

Qualified candidates will read shop drawings, verify reinforcing placement, and document data. Experience in precast/prestressed concrete or construction QC is preferred; strong communication and physical strength are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing, construction inspection, or QC.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. several times per day and work overtime.
• Pass pre-employment background, medical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM testing (slump, air, unit weight, strengths) daily.
• Inspect products against shop drawings and tolerances.
• Verify reinforcing steel placement and lifts against drawings.
• Document inspection data and report non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues and maintain conformance.
