Graphic Packaging International is seeking candidates for a roll handler on the production line. The role involves moving rolls, removing wrapping, and assisting with cylinder and blade changes on the machine.

You will operate controls to move paper through the line, splice rolls, and prepare inks and barrels as needed. The position requires manual dexterity, stamina, and strict safety adherence, with frequent lifting of heavy components and use of hoists and carts.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Flexibility to work with heavy rolls and various tools.
• Attention to safety protocols and proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Move rolls from floor into the staging area using a roll pusher.
• Remove wrapping from rolls and place waste to the pile.
• Assist with changing cylinders and blades on the machine using a chain hoist and carts.
• Prepare ink for the machine, set up barrels with pumps and hoses.
• Operates machine controls to move paper and splice rolls.
• Load new rolls onto the machine and manage cores and tapes.
