Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Press Operator helper to assist the printing press team. The role includes make-ready, operation and maintenance tasks to ensure safe, efficient production of paperboard packaging. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to operate a forklift, and commit to 12-hour night shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math and read job specifications.
• Able to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Fork Truck Operator’s License (required by company).
• High school diploma or GED required; prefer 1 year manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Load skids of board to maintain continuous press operation.
• Troubleshoot feeders to ensure proper loading of board.
• Read and follow job specifications to prepare materials.
• Adjust press components using hand tools.
• Assist in maintenance and replacing worn rollers.
• Wash blankets and clean ink distribution systems on press.
• Support pressman to meet production goals.
