Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a quality-focused team member to perform initial visual inspections of metal stampings and packaging for shipment. The role supports production by validating quality checks in Plex, aligning with JES, and contributing to efficient workflow to meet schedules at Plant 4 in Holland, MI.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, basic English proficiency, and up to 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Some manufacturing experience preferred (6 months).

Responsibilities

• Meet daily and weekly production requirements.
• Reference production orders in Plex to weld product per JES.
• Load/unload/move up to 60 pounds; assist with heavier objects as needed.
• Pack parts correctly according to instructions and ensure proper labeling.
• Complete online work center and operator inspection sheets.
• Visually inspect parts for form, fit, and function per standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform housekeeping.
• Cross-train on various work centers to support plant flow.
• Complete necessary paperwork such as hourly count boards.
• Uphold daily production targets.
