Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is hiring two hourly Press Operators in the Natchitoches, LA mill. You will operate the press to manufacture laminated veneer lumber, monitor quality, and keep the line running smoothly on the graveyard shift.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must pass tests and a certification checklist. Overtime may be required, and a resume detailing education and work history is requested for consideration.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass certification checklist.
• Must pass tests with 100% score.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Resume or detailed education and work history required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the operation of the Press and veneer quality per instructions.
• Remove unusable veneer; place salvageable veneer into reclaim cart.
• Realign sheets to maintain acceptable pattern during processing.
• Occasionally spread glue on sheets using a roller as needed.
• Perform clean-up and shutdowns per procedure; lock out and purge lines.
• Communicate quality issues with Billet Tender.
• Be a self-starter and work effectively in a team.
• Other duties as assigned.
