Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA is seeking a Press Operator to set up and run CNC machines and presses, read blueprints, and perform tool changes. This day shift role requires focus on precision and adherence to shop orders.

The candidate must have basic math and measurement skills, read a ruler, calipers, micrometers, and be able to maintain tooling and records with minimal supervision. Training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to set up and operate CNC Machines and presses with minimal or no supervision.
• Basic math and reading skills are required.
• Ability to read blueprints and micrometers, and use calipers.

Responsibilities

• Produce product as described in the shop order.
• Set proper die clearance.
• Select proper punch grade.
• Select and apply proper lubrication.
• Detect when a tool needs to be serviced.
• Read shop order and set up a tool accordingly.
• Select and set proper feed roll pressure (MP).
• Determine and set slide and stripper settings.
• Perform routine maintenance on machine.
• Sharpen and service tooling as required (TP).
• Pull inventory and record usage.

• Produce product as described in the shop order

Qualifications

The Individual who functions in this position must be able to carry out all of the functions associated with being a Press Operator. To qualify, an individual must be able to set up and operate CNC Machines and presses with minimal or no supervision.

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment
• Ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read blue prints and micrometer
• 1 year of mechanical experience
• Ability to assemble from blue prints, sketches, and instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
