Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA is seeking a First Shift Fabricator B (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) to operate CNC and mechanical presses and perform routine preventive maintenance. The role requires reading shop orders and setting die clearances and punch grades.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of CNC experience, and the ability to read rulers, calipers, micrometers and drawings. Trade certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Trade/vocational certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of CNC equipment operation experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain each press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch.
• Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
• Read shop orders and interpret product specifications.
• Detect when a tool needs servicing, set up a tool accordingly and determine slide and stripper settings.
• Multi-task efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 1 – 3 years’ experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
