Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA is seeking a First Shift Fabricator B to operate CNC tools and perform routine maintenance. The role requires reading shop orders, setting up presses, and ensuring proper die clearances and lubrication for production runs.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of CNC experience, can read drawings and use measurement tools. Trade certification is a plus, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• 1–3 years’ experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Trade/vocation certification preferred.
• Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain each press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch.
• Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
• Read shop order diagrams and specifications.
• Detect when a tool needs servicing, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings.
• Multitask efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch.
• Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
• Read shop product as described on the shop order.
• Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings.
• Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned.
