Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA seeks a Third Shift MP Operator to run multiple machines on a production basis. You will read engineering drawings, set up work, and operate lathes, drills, mills, grinders, and related equipment.

Third Shift MP Operator (7:30 PM to 6:00 AM) Monday - Thursday

Job Location: Hendrick Manufacturing - Carbondale, PA 18407

BASIC FUNCTION

Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Performs a variety of tasks on a variety of machines.
• Works from engineering drawings or rough sketches.
• Sets up own machining work.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• A thorough knowledge of machining techniques, materials, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is required.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools is also required.
• Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or specialized training.
• Prior CNC or Manual Machine experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required.
