Job summary

American Trim is seeking press operators for our appliance decorative products operations on 1st and 3rd shifts in Sidney, OH. You will operate presses, set dies, inspect parts, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves coordinating multiple press operations, following strict safety procedures, and maintaining production schedules with a focus on efficiency. Training on 1st shift is required; overtime is common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency is preferred but not required.
• Blueprint reading is helpful.
• Basic math — percentages, decimals (thousandths), addition, subtraction
• Knowledge of press, dies, and set up operations.
• Oral and written communication skills
• Be experienced in production environment in meeting schedules and rates and be able to change over dies in the standard time.
• Excitement to learn a new skill
• Tendency to follow set instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven team player
• Strong work record in safety, quality, and dependability.
• Ability to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple press operations.
• Control operation through complex automation systems.
• Produce daily job assignments using WMS.
• Follow all of the safety procedures: Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Equipment Safety Analysis (ESA), and Area Safety Analysis (ASA).
• Ensure that job is run in environmental compliance after instructions from supervisor/environmental group.
• Communicate with shift supervisor, tooling engineers, quality engineers and other work cell people on opposite shift concerning production problems, quality and related information.
• Set dies in scheduled time frame to meet customer requirements.
• Perform routine housekeeping in work area(s) as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
