• Pre-press familiarity with working with prepress files, plates and job tickets.

Role Description The Press Operator – 2nd Shift is a full-time, on-site role located in West Chester, OH. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing presses to meet production schedules and quality standards. Daily tasks include preparing materials, loading and adjusting presses, performing routine inspections, and ensuring accurate color, registration, and print quality throughout the run. The Press Operator will work with pre-press files, maintain press cleanliness and safety, and perform minor adjustments and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Collaboration with the production team, adherence to safety procedures, accurate documentation of runs, and support for continuous improvement initiatives are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills, including setup, safe operation, and basic maintenance of printing presses.
• Candidates should possess Printing-related skills, with experience in flexographic or similar press environments and understanding of color, registration, and substrates.
• Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including visual inspection, measurement, and documentation to ensure products meet specifications.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve press, ink, and material issues efficiently.

• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in label or packaging production, ability to read and follow work orders, basic math and measurement skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, follow safety protocols, and work effectively on a 2nd shift schedule is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent and prior manufacturing or printing experience are preferred.
