Job description

We are seeking an experienced Flexo Press Operator to join our label printing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels. The ideal candidate has experience with narrow-web flexo presses, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot press issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate narrow-web flexographic printing presses to produce custom labels.
2. Ensure accurate ink viscosity, color consistency, and registration throughout the production run.
3. Load and unload materials, including substrates, inks, and printing plates.
4. Monitor print quality and make real-time adjustments to maintain production standards.
5. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on printing equipment.
6. Maintain accurate production records and follow company quality control procedures.
7. Work closely with the production team to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
8. Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Experience: Minimum 2+ years operating flexographic printing presses in a label printing environment.
2. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with anilox rollers, doctor blades, UV and water-based inks, and die-cutting processes.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to detect and correct printing defects such as misregistration, color variation, or streaking.
4. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot press issues and minimize downtime.
6. Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Mark Andy narrow-web presses.
2. Knowledge of digital prepress workflows and plate mounting.

Understanding of customer-specific label requirements and industry regulations.
