This position reports to

Manufacturing Manager - NEMA

Your role and responsibilities

Ensure understanding and adherence to all ABB safety policies, training, and hazard communication. This includes wearing proper PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently grip, turn, push, bend, and occasionally reach above shoulder level and pull.
- Walk and/or stand for extended periods to meet production demands.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment like electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, wire twisters, pallet jacks, and controls, and assist with press-line setup and die jam clearing.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, read work orders, blueprints, inventory tags, and labels.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime, including short-notice overtime.
- Perform these tasks safely, ensuring no compromise to safety for self or coworkers.
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.
- Report any inability to perform essential functions to supervisors or HR for accommodations.

Qualifications for the role

• Manual lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Training provided on all job steps and electric pallet truck operation.
• Knowledge of emergency stop locations and safety devices.
• Verify and sign press release forms before operation.
• Inspect parts for defects and check flatness and inventory tags.
• Match parts to blueprints and ensure proper lubrication and material feeding.
• Monitor press operation and wire stacks with safety and quality in mind.
• Complete necessary documentation and clean work area after production.
• Work safely, report injuries or hazards immediately.
• Must have valid work authorization for employment in the US.
