Mittera is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead press operations, train crews, and coordinate production with prepress and postpress teams. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to customer specs while maintaining compliance with company policies.

The supervisor will rotate every ten weeks between days and nights on a 12-hour shift schedule (2-2-3), ensuring production targets are met and processes run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5+ years of press operator experience.
• 1–3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions.
• Mechanical ability preferred.
• Must be organized and able to plan, prioritize, and follow through with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication with all levels and ability to interpret instructions.
• Basic math skills and problem solving for practical tasks.
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and production software experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Provides performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination per company policy.
• Observe press operations and verify conformance to specifications.
• Authorize quality based on proofs for ink coverage, alignment, and registration.
• Coordinate production with prepress and postpress.
• Maintain and monitor records (production, maintenance, incidents).
• Monitor press speeds, waste and labor; report downtime.
