Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a production-focused professional to oversee the daily press operations, train leaders, and ensure material availability while upholding FI-11 & 5S standards. You will manage payroll, drive safety and quality targets, and collaborate across departments to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, mentoring, and communication skills, plus 5S and lean manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 5+ years of production experience.
• Experience mentoring/coaching operators.
• Strong understanding of complex equipment and system integration.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of FI-11 and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Create the daily press operations plan.
• Provide line leaders with daily startup meeting information.
• Manage the training needs of press operators, technicians and line leaders.
• Verify raw material availability and report shortages.
• Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures.
• Assist manager with reviewing the work performance of operators, technicians and line leaders.
• Manage the quality systems in the Press department.
• Monitor product for any quality issues and respond to internal customer issues.
• Achieve established daily performance targets for Safety, Quality, IF Cost, Idle Time, UPH & 5S.
• Interact with other functional departments as necessary.
• Make radio calls to PM & AGV technicians as required.
• Maintain payroll for Press employees.
• Apply corrective actions to Press employees as required.
• Ensure materials / supplies are used efficiently.
• Understand, teach, personify, and enforce FI-11 & 5S standards.
• Attend production planning meetings, other meetings, and training sessions as required.
