Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona is seeking a Production Engineer I to support daily manufacturing operations and optimize production processes. The role targets candidates with 1–3 years in a plant setting who can improve quality, efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, cost, and schedule goals while developing SOPs and supporting new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing, production, or plant environment (internships and co-ops included).
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on aptitude in a production setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly; JMP, Minitab a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD or production management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production line performance to identify opportunities for improvement in throughput, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct or assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support the introduction of new products or equipment into the production line, including trials and validation.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth and safe production operations.
• Gather and analyze production data to support decision-making and report KPIs.
• Support training efforts for operators and technicians on new processes or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
