Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Press Maintenance Mechanic with a solid background in machine repair to inspect, install and repair production equipment and tools. You will read mechanical prints, troubleshoot electrically and hydraulically, perform preventive maintenance, and manage work orders to improve efficiency.

Valid forklift and scissor lift licenses are required; willingness to work up to 12 hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of machine repair experience.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install and repair production machinery and tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints for troubleshooting.
• Complete and manage work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Operate equipment safely with required PPE (noise, fumes, heat).
