Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Press Mechanic I to inspect, install, and repair production machinery in our Kansas City plant. You will maintain tools and equipment, document downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years of machine repair experience, and licenses for forklift and scissor lift. Strong attention to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of machine repair experience.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics experience.
• Basic understanding of press controls and processes.
• Basic understanding of common tool room equipment such as milling machines, drill presses, lathes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and repair production machinery and tools.
• Complete and manage work orders via Plex systems.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Follow maintenance procedures to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Document downtime and repair codes using Plex.
