Job summary

Digital Room in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a Press Feeder to join our printing team. This 2nd shift role involves loading paper, prepping plates, and assisting the Press Operator to maintain quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plates by punching holes and placing them on the designated color.
• Assist the Press Operator in replacing worn rollers and adjusting press pressure.
• Load skid of unprinted sheets using pallet jack onto feed device.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet job specs.
• Operate controls to start/stop/adjust machinery as needed.
• Load printed side and prep for flipping/loading on the press.
• Identify and label materials and samples per instructions.
• Move materials from machines to staging for bindery.
• Record production data such as quantities and materials processed.
• Report workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure equipment and workstations are safe and in good condition.
• Be available for overtime as needed and complete other duties.

We’re hiring! Our Van Nuys, California printing plant is looking for a Press Feeder to join our team. If you’re motivated and ready to grow with a company in the print industry, this could be the job for you.

Pay Range

2nd Shift Pay Rate: $19.00 – $26.00/hour

Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Shift

2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday – Friday

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes on front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replace worn rollers and adjust pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
• Load skid of unprinted sheets of paper on feed device of sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Load printed side of the job to the flipping machine and prepare to load on the press machine.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment, and place them for staging position for bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned
