Job summary

Digital Room in Arlington, TX is hiring a 2nd Pressman (Press Feeder) to join our team. 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM and 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday - Friday. 2nd/3rd shift pay: $15.00 - $22.00/hour, with a $2.00 shift differential on the 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include loading sheets, assisting with press operation, inspection for defects, adjusting equipment, recording production data, and ensuring safety. Overtime may be required based on business needs and workload.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare plates by punching holes and positioning them correctly.
• Assist Press Operator in replacing worn rollers and adjusting press pressure.
• Load unprinted paper onto feed device with pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects per job specs.
• Operate controls to start/stop/adjust machinery.
• Prepare printed side for loading onto the press machine.

Job description

We're hiring! Our Arlington, TX printing plant is looking for a 2nd Pressman (Press Feeder) to join our team. If you're motivated and ready to grow with a company in the print industry, this could be the job for you.

Pay Range

2nd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 - $22.00/hour

3rd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 - $22.00/hour + $2.00 shift differential

Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Shift

2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday

3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes on front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replace worn rollers and adjust pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
• Load skid of unprinted sheets of paper on feed device of sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Load printed side of the job to the flipping machine and prepare to load on the press machine.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment, and place them for staging position for bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned
