Responsibilities include assisting with press operations, loading paper, inspecting quality, and recording production data. The ideal candidate will read and speak English, communicate well with the Press Operator, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare plates by punching holes and positioning color
• Assist Press Operator with rollers and press adjustments
• Load unprinted sheets using pallet jack
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure specifications
• Operate presses and monitor controls
• Load printed side to flipping machine and prepare for loading
• Identify and mark materials as instructed
• Move materials to bindery staging area and record production data
• Report workplace hazards to management immediately
• Ensure equipment and workspace are safe and clean
• Be available for overtime as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned

We’re hiring! Our Arlington, TX printing plant is looking for a 2nd Pressman (Press Feeder) to join our team. If you’re motivated and ready to grow with a company in the print industry, this could be the job for you.

Pay Range:

2nd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 - $22.00/hour

3rd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 - $22.00/hour + $2.00 shift differential

Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
Shift:

2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday

3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes on front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replace worn rollers and adjust pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
• Load skid of unprinted sheets of paper on feed device of sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Load printed side of the job to the flipping machine and prepare to load on the press machine.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment, and place them for staging position for bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned
