Job summary

Digital Room LLC in Brooklyn, OH is seeking a Press Feeder for our plant on the 3rd shift (10pm-6am, Sunday-Thursday). The role focuses on preparing the press, managing ink fountains (C,M,Y,K), loading substrates, and supporting press operators in a fast-paced production environment.

You will collaborate with team members to maintain quality, set up feeder equipment, monitor safety, and help with routine maintenance and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Understand the printing process of the press machine.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Hanging plates.
• Make sure the ink fountains are full - CMYK.
• Load different substrates on press (text weight, Cardstock, Carbonless paper).
• Assist with print & coater blanket changes.
• Assist with daily maintenance tasks and cleanliness.
• Replenish ink cans when necessary - C,M,Y,K.
• Set up feeder by adjusting air blowers, hold downs, main pile hoist, aux pile hoist, pile controls.
• Able to work with others and be a team player.
• Reliable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers and ink form rollers.
• Load skids of unprinted sheets on the feed device of the sheet-fed press, using a pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects, ensure it meets job specs.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and place them in staging for bindery.
• Record production and operational data, such as number of materials processed.
• Report workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is in good order and safe.
• Must be available for overtime as needed.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties.

Hourly - Full Time Brooklyn, OH, US

We are actively recruiting for the position of Press Feeder for our plant in Brooklyn, OH

Shift: 3rd shift 10pm-6am Sunday-Thursday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Hanging plates
• Make sure the ink fountains are full - using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, & Black.
• Responsible for loading different substrates on press ( text weight, Cardstock, & Carbonless paper) while following work orders.
• Assist with print & coater blanket changes
• Assist with daily maintenance tasks and cleanliness
• Replenish ink cans when necessary - C,M,Y,K
• Put all materials, inks, solvents, etc away to their designated area when finished
• Set up feeder by adjusting air blowers, hold downs, Main pile hoist, Aux pile hoist, pile control, suckers, & side separator controls.
• Able to work with others and being a team player
• An individual who is reliable and is capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers, ink form rollers, water form rollers, etc.
• Load skids of unprinted sheets of paper on the feed device of the sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and place them in staging position for the bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as the number of materials processed.
• Report any workplace hazards to management immediately.
