Job summary

Staffmark Group in North Little Rock, AR is hiring a Press Brake Operator to set up, program and run manual press brakes, bending sheet metal to tight tolerances for heavy vehicle components.

This full-time role offers daytime hours (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM) with pay ranging from $21 to $28 per hour. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of hands-on press brake experience.
• CNC experience is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and sheet metal forming.
• Basic math including fractions and geometry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual press brake equipment to bend and fabricate sheet metal.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings to determine bend sequences and settings.
• Install dies, punches, tooling, and fixtures based on production needs.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and first-piece inspections.
• Measure parts with calipers, tapes, squares, and other precision tools.
• Verify components meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Adjust machine parameters and tooling for accurate forming.
• Safely handle heavy components with forklifts and cranes.
• Inspect materials for defects and report quality concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain production, quality, and maintenance records.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Welders, Fabricators, Machinists, and Production staff.
