RC Industries in Elkhart, IN is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to set up, program and safely operate press brakes to form parts to print. You will follow schedules, perform in-process checks and report defects to the Front-Line Leader, while updating tooling and improving efficiency.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic math, and familiarity with measuring tools. You will also participate in lean activities and maintain 5S while reporting labor through Shop Floor Mobile.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience using small to mid-sized tools and computing measurements
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Able to read, understand and follow work instructions
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Able to use overhead cranes and lifting devices
  • Ability to use computers to review procedures and enter data
  • Able to read/write/speak English fluently

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program and safely operate the Press Brake to form parts to print
  • Use sequence list to ensure items meet schedules and on-time delivery
  • Conduct in-process checks and report defects to Front-Line Leader
  • Program new parts and update existing parts for better efficiency
  • Notify Front-Line Leader of tooling needs
  • Ensure 5S housekeeping is maintained
  • Timely labor reporting via Shop Floor Mobile

Set up, program and safely operate the Press Brake to form parts to print in a timely fashion to meet schedule goals set by RC 2. Use sequence list to ensure items are moving according to schedules and on-time delivery measures are met as set by Shop Floor Mobile. 3. Uphold RC Industries quality model by conducting all in-process checks as well as report any defects to your Front-Line Leader 4. Program new parts and update existing parts for better efficiency. 5. Let FLL know of the need for tooling. 6. Ensure 5s assignments are complete 7. Timely labor reporting for jobs completed in Shop Floor Mobile. 8. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and abide by safety rules at all times 2. **Mentoring & Training (5% of the job)** 1. Use strengths and skills to mentor and train others in meeting and exceeding delivery dates and customer expectations. 2. Basic math and counting skills (skills assessment). 2. Use of measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc. 3. Able to read, understand and follow work instructions. 4. Able to read and understand blueprints. 5. Able to work using small hand tools at a good speed. 6. Able to be flexible and move from job to job as priorities change. 7.
