Job summary

RC Industries seeks an experienced Steel MIG Welder for our Elkhart, IN facility. This full-time, 2nd shift role focuses on high-quality MIG/TIG welds, keeping equipment clean, and meeting production schedules.

You will perform in-process checks, mentor teammates, and participate in lean manufacturing activities to uphold RC Industries’ quality standards. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years’ steel MIG/TIG welding experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience in steel MIG/TIG welding.
• Able to read/work instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Weld parts to print with MIG/TIG welding per quality specs.
• Maintain cleanliness of welding equipment and ensure timely completion.
• Conduct in-process checks and report defects; follow safety rules and 5S housekeeping.

Perform MIG/TIG welds spatter free in a functional manner according to the company’s quality specifications 2. Ensure items are moving according to schedule by using Shop Floor Mobile 3. Uphold RC Industries quality model by conducting all in-process checks as well as report any defects to your Front-Line Leader 4. Ensure 5s assignments are complete 5. Timely labor reporting for jobs completed in Shop Floor Mobile 6. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and abide by safety rules at all times 2. **Mentoring & Training (5% of the job)** 1. Use strengths and skills to mentor and train others in meeting and exceeding delivery dates and customer expectations 2. Supports leaders and other team areas as needed to meet overall team goals 3.
