Job summary

RR Donnelley is a leading provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions with a dedicated production team in the United States. We are seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist to support the 3rd shift and ensure a continuous flow of materials through the press.

You will load materials, adjust feeders, and deliver plates and spray heads to the equipment, contributing to an efficient make-ready process.

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials learned through on the job training.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running
• Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper
• Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation
• Recycle old/discarded plates
• Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation
• Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates
