Job summary

Michigan State University Extension is seeking a Presque Isle 4-H Program Coordinator to oversee local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants. You will recruit, select, and train volunteers, build partnerships with schools and community groups, and expand programs to reach youth in Presque Isle County.

You will collaborate with the CYI and the 4-H staff, manage funds for 4-H activities, and promote MSU Extension programs through multiple channels, including schools, after-school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in program development and management in 4-H or other youth development programs.
• Demonstrated success in program development and delivery to diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Train 4-H volunteers to reach youth, adults, and families with non-formal learning experiences.
• Build partnerships with schools and community groups to expand program delivery.
• Attend and advise 4-H Leaders’ Council and program committees, guiding volunteers and clubs.
• Provide leadership in volunteer management, recruitment, training, and support.
• Collaborate with state MSU Extension priorities across the community and state.
