Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Pine Brook, NJ is hiring a Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1 for 2nd shift, from 1:30PM to 10:00PM. The role requires handling mail sorting tasks, examining barcodes, and ensuring quality before dispatch.

Training will cover USPS label prep, error recognition, and maintaining equipment. Key requirements include dependability, strong communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
• A basic understanding of English to follow safety directions in English.
• The ability to work overtime may include weekends, holidays and/or a different shift with little or no advance notice.
• Must have current work experience at Pitney Bowes as a Warehouse Mail Sorter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing dates, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and identify bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor mail quality prior to processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, bin numbers, and tray numbers.
• Follow Quality Management Systems practices to assure output quality.
• Ensure sorter equipment runs properly and assist with inbound/outbound processing.
• Stay informed of acceptance times and truck departure schedules.
• Meet Service Level Agreements and maintain a clean work area.
