In this role of Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support, serve as a backup to the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Office Director, and represent the Ministry as a gracious receptionist and hostess to visitors. In the role of Administrative Assistant,you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Serve as a welcoming first point of contact by answering and properly routing incoming calls, maintaining accurate messages, notifying the receptionist of expected guests, and warmly welcoming visitors while keeping them informed of meeting schedules.
Support administrative and communication needs by serving as backup for incoming mail and maintaining accurate electronic Contact Lists, as well as the 306 and B306 accounts and mailing lists.
Manage inventory and supplies by maintaining accurate stockroom inventory and preparing Material Service Requests as needed to help ensure teams have the resources necessary to serve effectively.
Coordinate mailings efficiently and cost-effectively by determining appropriate mailing methods and maintaining accurate records of items sent.
Represent Samaritan's Purse with excellence through a professional appearance and gracious demeanor while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating a commitment to serving others in support of the Ministry's mission.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
High school diploma or general education degree and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to communicate by phone in a professional and pleasant manner.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with angry or difficult callers.
General knowledge of Microsoft Suite to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one‑or two‑step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
