Responsibilities

• Leads three or more employees in a section where the primary function is preservation.
• Passes instructions received from supervisors to other workers and starts work operations by assigning the immediate tasks to individual members of the group.
• Ensures required plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that necessary stock is obtained from supply locations.
• Demonstrates proper work methods and techniques, obtains required information from the supervisor when problems arise, and enforces safety protocols and workplace housekeeping rules.
• Maintains current operational knowledge and answers team questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
• Ensures there is a sufficient volume of work to keep the entire crew productive and monitors work in progress and inspects completed tasks to ensure Instructions on sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines are met.
• Updates the supervisor on work status, operational progress, and the causes of any delays; and answers supervisory inquiries regarding overall work operations and challenges.
