Job summary

Work in USA in Akron seeks a Preservation Architect to preserve and restore historic buildings in the city. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

You will research historical architecture and materials, develop preservation plans, prepare restoration drawings and specs, collaborate with engineers and contractors to meet standards, and manage documentation, approvals, and client communications to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Preservation Architect.
• Strong knowledge of historical architectural styles, materials and construction techniques.
• Experience managing preservation projects from conception to completion.
• Proficient with CAD software.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Akron As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month with accommodation provided

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on the history architecture and materials of historic buildings
• Develop preservation plans for existing structures and design new projects that respect and enhance the historical character of the area
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for restoration and preservation work
• Collaborate with engineers contractors and other professionals to ensure that projects meet design standards and requirements
• Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with preservation plans
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions of buildings and identify necessary repairs or maintenance work

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect

• Excellent design skills with attention to detail
• Ability to use computer aided design CAD software
