Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation projects.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to historic preservation.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and necessary preservation measures.
• Develop preservation plans and specifications in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and other professionals to ensure preservation projects meet budgetary and timeline requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of preservation plans including coordinating with construction teams and obtaining necessary permits.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
• Prepare detailed reports on the condition of historic structures, progress of preservation projects and any necessary revisions to plans.
• Stay up-to-date on current preservation techniques, materials and technologies.
