Northeast Health Services, a member of Transformations Care Network (TCN), is seeking a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant (Medical Assistant) to join our clinical support team. This float role supports Central region clinics with regular travel and remote work as needed.

You will handle customer calls, coordinate care, assist with medication prior authorizations, EMR documentation, and provider support while upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with patients and teammates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork under stress.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance basics and pre-authorizations preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Answer calls professionally, respond to voicemails, and coordinate communications with patients.
• Guide patients through telehealth tech and portals; process prior authorizations.
• Support providers with paperwork and scheduling; maintain EMR documentation.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; collect financial responsibility info.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, licensure upkeep, and onboarding of new staff.
• Handle medication refill processes and train new team members as needed.
• Manage waitlists and provide general information about practice services.
