The Nature Conservancy in Greenville, SC is seeking a Burn Crew Member to support prescribed fire operations on Conservancy lands and partner sites. You will assist with planning, training, and implementing burns across diverse terrains with a team of FFT2 professionals.

Qualifications

• FFT2 certification and basic NWCG training are required.
• Ability to pass NWCG arduous fitness standard (45 lb pack 3 miles).
• First Aid/CPR and related licenses may be required.
• Willingness to travel, weekends, and flexible schedule.
• Able to perform physical outdoor work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prescribed burn planning and operations.
• Learn burn techniques and gain professional fire certification.
• Support partner operations and travel for field work as needed.
• Build relationships in the professional fire community.
