Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Greenville, SC is seeking a Burn Crew Member to implement prescribed fires on Conservancy and partner lands, with opportunities to travel for operations. The role requires FFT2 qualifications and physical fitness, with training and certification maintenance supported by the organization.

The position involves hands-on burn work in diverse SC terrains, a flexible schedule including weekends, and housing provided while based in Greenville.

Qualifications

• FFT2 qualified, with IS-100, IS-700, L-180, S-190, S-130 training and a supervised burn.
• Able to carry a 45 lb pack for 3 miles in under 45 minutes.
• Must obtain licenses/certifications such as First Aid/CPR as required.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed burns on TNC and partner lands.
• Support burn planning, preparation, and operations.
• Travel for burn operations in SC and possibly out of state; flexible schedule.
