Job summary

Babilou Family US is seeking a Certified Teacher to lead a safe, nurturing classroom and implement a sustainable education approach across Little Sprouts locations. You will design curriculum, guide learners, and support families while modeling environmental stewardship.

The position emphasizes developmentally appropriate practice, collaboration with colleagues, and ongoing professional growth within a family-centered, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active teaching certification as required by state licensing.
• Experience teaching young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and classroom safety standards.
• Ability to lead classroom operations and mentor support staff.
• Commitment to sustainable education practices and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles.
• Lead classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility and mindful material use.
• Model best practices for the teaching team and ensure high‑quality instructional delivery.
• Supervise children during learning activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration; act as mandated reporter.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families through professional communication and involvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems and sustainability initiatives; coach assistants.
