Job summary

Primrose School of Evergreen in San Jose, CA is seeking a Preschool Teacher to provide a fun, safe environment for 3- and 4-year-olds. Following our daily schedule and curriculum, you will meet each child at their level and guide them through small group instruction as they grow in understanding.

You will work with a paired co-teacher and receive an Education Coach, with fully stocked classroom and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Must have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better.
Patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
Must be able to use an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.

Responsibilities

Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning.
Provide a safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children.
Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials.
Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
