Primrose School of Evergreen in San Jose, CA is seeking an Early Preschool Classroom Teacher to care for children aged 2 years to 3 years. Our research-based curriculum guides daily growth, while you nurture, guide, and enrich their learning alongside families.

You will work with a paired co-teacher, a dedicated Education Coach, and a fully stocked classroom. Pay is based on experience, with comprehensive benefits and development opportunities to grow in your role.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better.
• Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
• Must meet required state background check.
• Must be able to work on an iPad to enter daily logs and communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning.
• Provide a safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children.
• Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials.
• Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
